Mobitrack is a feature rich, cost effective indigenous Vehicle Tracking Unit that consists of a built-in GPS receiver, GSM modem and battery for back up during failure of external power. It has a panic button for SOS alarm and also supports several programmable keys to report various other states of the vehicle on duty.
The unit has a high sensitivity16-channel GPS receiver providing superior reception in inhospitable areas. It has ahigh gain GSM antenna for uninterrupted operation in areas of weak GSM signals. Moreover, both the antennas are internal so that the device can be discreetly placed in the vehicle with minimal chances of tampering by drivers.
It has an internal memory to store location information when there is no GSM signal. It supports a voice interface for receiving calls and also for making calls to pre-programmed numbers. In addition, it supports several inputs and outputs that can be customized to meet a variety of requirements from the client. It also has a GPS based odometer feature for accurate distance measurement.
The unit can be remotely configured (OTA Configuration). In addition it is provided with an RS 232C port for connecting peripheral devices like RFID readers, taxi meters, display screens etc. It also has LEDs for status indication. In addition, it provides alerts via SMS to predefined phone numbers. It is packaged in a rugged IP54 enclosure thus ensuring durability in industrial settings.
Most importantly, the device has a modular architecture such that different functional components can be included/ excluded depending upon the requirements and budget of the customer.
